80% done. What do you guys think so far?
I had planned on finishing this before 1DDay, but guess what? I failed! But I’m not bored with this yet so that’s a good thing yea? Woooo drawing plaid is hard. Zayn Malik, One Direction, work in progress.
Added more detail to his pants. Zayn Malik, One Direction, work in progress.
Patience is a virtue. Did a whole lot of shading on his pants. I will finish this eventually yeah? Zayn Malik, One Direction, work in progress.
Leather jacket mostly finished. Zayn Malik. One Direction. Work in progress.
I feel this painting may take up to 52 hours like my best ever painting ever, has. I’m super duper excited about this because I am loving working on the details, which is something I haven’t felt in 5 years. I think the key to getting my mojo back is always leather. I love it. I can feel it when I paint it.
Zayn Malik. One Direction. Work in progress.
I’ve not liked anything I’ve painted in a long time as much as I LOVE how this turned out. Hello, Harry Styles of One Direction…
reblog because I missed it.
My history with leather. Top: 2009 selfportrait. Bottom: 2008 Jon Fratelli of the Fratellis.
Interesting maybe is that the Jon Fratelli painting is the first finished digital portrait I ever did. It took over 52 hours. Now, my paintings take around 4-6 hours. Admittedly, I’ve lost patience for details.
This is going to take forever… asdfghjkl;’. But, I worked on his face and his sleeve. Zayn Malik.
Might as well give you a step by step. Zayn Malik.
I’m making a thing. This will eventually be in colour and realistic. It’s 120 cms in height, so I have a bit of work to do. But after that, it will effectively be a doorposter of Zayn Malik.
October. All the art. Hm, I need to mix things up.
Ps. Oh, help me give my art to One Direction.
