Excited painting face, with eyebrow quirk.
Sir Knight. Eoin Macken. Sir Gwaine.
I started this early this year and only just finished it. It was a sketch for a long time.
Wait. Avalon. Oh. Blue Truck.
My 9 favourite paintings of 2012.
All of these are available (along with 24 others) exclusively in my 2012 artbook, of which there are only 14 left. These books are 65 dollars/50 euros/ 40 gbp and are signed, plus, you’ll get a handwritten message from me to you with them.
By buying one of them, you’ll help me finance my trip to the US this coming March/April.
Let me know if you want one by leaving me a message in my ask box.
Here’s another work in progress GIF. It’s Merlin (Colin Morgan).
Might aswell collect my Merlin art now that Merlin’s back on!
Edit: added the latest one of Merlin on top!
Reblogging for a sense of a complete collection. Well, you know.
On my lunchbreak now. This morning consisted mostly of reading articles in search of inspiration for another blogpost to write. Read a lot, but hardly any of it was really beneficial.
In the meantime I also tried to get MerlinOfficial’s attention on Twitter as they were collecting fan art for on their Facebook page, but I can’t seem to get through to them - maybe I’m a day too late.
To all you Merlinians, if you could tweet this link (my painting of Colin Morgan) to @MerlinOfficial, that would be great. I worked really hard on that painting and I’d love if it gets some exposure.
Would appreciate your help, guys!
Painting of Colin Morgan as Merlin. I worked my butt off for this painting and I had an especially fun time making a sparkly background. I think I did about four layers of it, with constant blurring and then painting over it again. What do you think though, is there enough contrast between Merlin and the background or is the background completely overpowering?
Either way, please, if you were ever inclined to share any of my work, let it be this one, because I’m super proud of it. You can also buy a print.
There, the only thing left to do are the background and some finishing touches on his jacket and scarf. Colin Morgan as Merlin.
Once I remember why I’m doing this, I might have to plead insanity. Work in progress painting of Colin Morgan as Merlin.
Colin Morgan as Merlin work in progress.
After watching Merlin tonight I felt like drawing Colin Morgan. Still a sketch, obviously.
